Santorini: It was ... the first museum of the world for Lost Atlantis

Atlantis is the most famous mythological city in the world. Hundreds of books, movies and theories have been based on this myth. It all began with Plato's reference to a lost ideal city, a city with a great and advanced culture. Plato, one of the most famous philosophers in the world, used the story of Atlantis to instill in his disciples, for example, the highest moral values that would create an ideal society.
Many parts of the world claim the location of the lost city, but Santorini, combined with the great explosion of antiquity, is one of the most prevalent explanations of the myth.

Based on this theory, the LOST ATLANTIS EXPERIENCE MUSEUM began its operation on 1 May 2019, the world's first museum dedicated to the Lost Atlantis myth. In the museum, using modern and innovative technologies, you will have the opportunity to:
Discover the evidence that links the myth of Atlantis with the eruption of the volcano of Santorini
-Explore an interactive mural learning about Plato's life that inspired him for the ideal state
-View the largest Atlantis Dyorratis and the daily lives of its inhabitants by using augmented reality
- Ask Plato himself in the form of a hologram for his philosophy and his theory about the Lost Atlantis

-Take away with all your senses the earthquake, the tsunami and the eruption of the volcano that led to the destruction of Atlantis through an unforgettable 9D experience.
