The attractions of Japan



Japan is an island nation surrounded by the sea and consists of four major islands, Hokkaido, Honshu in the Shikoku and Kyushu and thousands of other smaller islands. With the bulk of it is covered by forests, the country is endowed with beautiful landscapes in all seasons and a rich cultural heritage thanks to its long history and tradition.


Hokkaido
SNOW FESTIVAL Sapporo
Almost half a century after its foundation, the festival attracts over two million visitors annually from Japan and abroad. Statues of snow and ice sculptures of various sizes and various issues flood the specially designed space in downtown Sapporo within this festival lasts seven days and is organized in February.




Tohoku region
FESTIVAL NEBUTA (NEPUTA)
The Nebuta festival takes place every summer in the cities of Aomori and Hirosaki. The festival includes a parade with huge lamps in the form of historical figures and animals. Osaka was originally developed as a market town and is today with the Tokyo one of the major economic centers of Japan. Known for its clear waters and the "808 bridges," has many rivers and canals which flow through the urban districts.

The Himeji Castle is an exquisite architectural example of Japanese castle of the 17th century, with advanced defense system. The castle, which called Sirasagki (White Heron), is known for its perfect lines and white plaster walls that make it look like a white heron is ready to fly.

Mountains KII
The Yoshida-Omine, the Cumans Shanxi, and Kogiasan, the three holy places in the Kii Mountain range associated with sacred pilgrimage routes to the ancient capitals of Nara and Kyoto. They reflect a unique fusion of Shinto-rooted in the ancient tradition of worship of nature- and Buddhism.

Shikoku

BRIDGE SETO OHASHI
The Seto Ohashi bridge extends between Honshu and Shikoku islands in the Seto inland sea connecting Okayama and Kagawa prefectures, and is the largest bridge in the world, combining both highways and rail routes. The bridge is divided into six sections total distance of 9.4 km.

MONUMENT Peace in Hiroshima

DOME GENBAKU
The first atomic bomb ever exploded on Hiroshima on 6 August 1945. The Dome Genbaku, a building located near the hypocenter of the explosion remained standing after the bombing, has become a memento of the destructive effects of nuclear weapons.
